Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are the benefits of a mobile vet?

Mobile vets reduce stress for your pet by treating them in their familiar home environment. This often leads to more accurate health assessments as your pet is more relaxed. It’s also convenient for owners, saving travel time and eliminating waiting room anxiety. We provide the same ‘human-grade care’ you’d expect at a clinic, often with more one-on-one attention and time to address all your concerns.

What areas of Canberra do you service?

We serve all suburbs of Canberra and surrounding areas. A travel fee may apply depending on distance, which will be discussed during booking. Our goal is to make quality veterinary care accessible to as many pet owners in the region as possible.

How do I book an appointment?

You can call us at 0439 005 749, email us at contact@angelstouchvet.com.au, or use our online booking request form. We aim to respond to all booking requests promptly and often can accommodate same-day appointments within 24 hours, subject to availability.

Do you offer same day appointments?

Yes, we prioritize offering same-day appointments within 24 hours, subject to availability. Please call us as early as possible if you need urgent care for your pet. We understand that pet health concerns often can’t wait and do our best to accommodate urgent needs.

What types of animals do you treat?

We primarily treat dogs and cats. If you have other small companion animals, please inquire about our services for them. Dr. Michaels has extensive experience with various pet species, but our mobile service is best suited for common household pets.

What are your operating hours?

We are available Friday to Tuesday, 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and Wednesday, 7:00 am to 11:30 am. We understand that pet health needs don’t always occur during business hours, so please call us even if it’s close to closing time, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

What if my pet has an emergency out of these hours?

Angel’s Touch Mobile Vet is not an emergency service. For after-hours emergencies, please contact your nearest 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital such as Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service (CVES) or Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Canberra. We’re happy to provide follow-up care during our regular hours.

How much does a house call cost?

Please see our Services page for estimated consultation and service fees. Our base house call consultation fee ranges from $120-$150, with additional costs for specific services. We aim for transparent pricing and will always discuss costs before performing any procedures or tests.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards, EFTPOS, and electronic bank transfers. Payment is required at the time of service. For your convenience, we bring a mobile payment terminal to process cards during the visit.

Can you perform surgeries of complex procedures at home?

We can perform many minor procedures and diagnostics at home, including vaccinations, microchipping, blood draws, ear treatments, and more. For services requiring hospital facilities, such as complex surgeries, dental procedures, or X-rays, we can help refer you to a trusted partner clinic.
